{"id":51,"date":"2015-02-11T20:33:26","date_gmt":"2015-02-11T20:33:26","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/bobbinsandcrewsew.com\/?page_id=51"},"modified":"2015-02-12T03:38:48","modified_gmt":"2015-02-12T03:38:48","slug":"heat-press-faq","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/bobbinsandcrewsew.com\/?page_id=51","title":{"rendered":"Heat Press FAQ"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>1. <span style=\"color: #24bfab;\"><strong>What is Vinyl Heat Press?<\/strong>\u00a0<\/span><br \/>\nIt is a special graphics type vinyl that has adhesive backing, which becomes very sticky once heated under high heat presses (320 to 350 degrees).\u00a0 Once cooled, and correctly applied, it won&#8217;t fade, peel, or scratch easily.\u00a0 The product has excellent opacity, and reduces dye migration.\u00a0 In the unheated stage, one can cut designs, shapes and lettering to be applied to clothing, nylon and even leather.\u00a0 To cut the material into any shape, you should use a friction roll cutter or a flat bed cutter for professional results and sharp detail.<\/p>\n<p>2.\u00a0<span style=\"color: #24bfab;\"><strong>Can I wash and dry this product?\u00a0<\/strong> <\/span><br \/>\nYes,\u00a0machine wash, use warm or cold water, using mild detergent.\u00a0 Do NOT use BLEACH!\u00a0 Note: There is bleach in some modern detergents, so do not use them on this product.\u00a0 In the dryer use the tumble cycle on low.\u00a0 Some people suggest that the items do better, if you turn them inside out in the dryer.\u00a0 It saves wear and tear on the vinyl surfaces. Do not iron directly onto the vinyl.\u00a0 Put a cloth over the vinyl, IF you have to iron.<\/p>\n<p>3. <span style=\"color: #24bfab;\"><strong>Are all heat press vinyls the same for every material?<\/strong>\u00a0<\/span><br \/>\nNo.\u00a0 We use key manufactures who offer 20 different types of vinyl products, each made for specific applications and specific type of fabrics.\u00a0 Each of these different types of vinyl comes in a limited variety of colors.\u00a0 We try to carry vinyl products and colors based on demand, otherwise we can order what you need.\u00a0 Note:\u00a0 This vinyl is not the same as sign, sticker or banner vinyl.<\/p>\n<p>4. <span style=\"color: #24bfab;\"><strong>When should I use Vinyl instead of Screen Print Ink?<\/strong>\u00a0<\/span><br \/>\nBoth applications need computer separated artwork to be created, but the set-up is different in each case.\u00a0 <span style=\"color: #000080;\">A.\u00a0<\/span> Vinyl is cut out of the colors available in the specific application.\u00a0 The colors are set by the manufactures and can&#8217;t be altered by shading, mixing or matching PMS color charts.\u00a0 You get what is available.\u00a0<span style=\"color: #000080;\"> B.<\/span>\u00a0Vinyl is less expensive in the initial set-up because there are no screens to make.\u00a0 This is great for smaller runs, like 1-12 or less.\u00a0 <span style=\"color: #000080;\">C.<\/span> Certain applications, like player names and numbers can be added to uniforms or t-shirts quicker and less expensive than screen printing. Personalizing t-shirts for family reunions also cuts the cost and saves time.<\/p>\n<p>5.\u00a0 <span style=\"color: #24bfab;\"><strong>What happens if for some reason a letter or number starts to peel off the garment?<br \/>\n<\/strong><\/span>\u00a0It&#8217;s unlikely this will happen if the vinyl is applied correctly.\u00a0 Bring the item back to us for evaluation.\u00a0 If it needs to be reattached because of product failure, we would be happy to reattach it,\u00a0 <span style=\"color: #000080;\"><strong>NO CHARGE!<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>1.
